The Concept 2 Indoor Rower is a rowing machine designed to offer you high quality exercise for the rest of your life. Rowing exercises and strengthens both upper and lower body with a motion that is smooth, rhythmic and impact-free. Its wide range of motion promotes flexibility in your muscles and joints. The Concept 2 Indoor Rower allows you to row as hard or as easily as you wish, making it an extremely versatile machine that can be used by people of all ages and fitness levels.
The latest version of the Concept 2 Indoor Rower is the Model D, introduced in the summer of 2003. The Model D is a significant step forward. It boasts a redesigned flywheel which is quieter and has a broader range of resistance, as well as an ergonomically designed handle to better simulate the arm position of on-water rowing and provide a more comfortable rowing position throughout the stroke.
The biggest difference is, however, the introduction of a new Performance Monitor, the PM3. The PM3 is far removed from being a simple metre counter. As well as adding a number of new graphical display modes, including a Pace Boat, a Force Curve and Power Plot, the PM3 has the ability to log both all the your metres, even those during interval rest time. It also allows you to programme and store your own favourite workouts for instant set-up.

The PM4 is the most up to date version of our Performance Monitor and comes as standard on the Model E, although it can also be fitted on the Model D. As well as having all the features of the PM3, it also has additional functionality which includes:

Heart Rate Monitoring: Built in wireless compatibility with Suunto heart rate technology (chest belt provided), offers improved transmission and eliminates interference from nearby rowers. Also compatible with Polar heart rate technology, if optional Polar receiver is installed

Rechargeable Battery Pack: As you row you will actually be recharging your battery. The battery pack can also be recharged by connecting the PM4 to a PC through the USB port.
